I was chatting with BettaZ(on PonyIsland) this morning and I was kinda in the mood to draw something different than what I've been working on commissions wise and I asked if he'd like an avatar. He said he did but wasn't sure what he wanted on it. Me, being the smart alec that I am suggested a Betta fish. XD He agreed and this was the result!

He wanted semi realistic but not completely so I think I accomplished that well. This was the first time I've ever drawn a betta fish and I am very proud of it. ^^; He said this coloring is called "Mustard Gas" I believe? XD It's really awesome though. I love opposite colors together. :D

I love the effect and the detail :) It kind of looks like he's turning with his tail like that, caught just as the tail catches the water, before it bends inward.

Wow, this is fantastic! I actually have a betta named Jindo that looks almost like this, except the blue is black. :D
